Article - Will PM Grade I/II/III get stepped up G.P Rs.4200/4600/4800 respectively?????

Dear Postmasters,

              This association is receiving so many queries regarding the stepped up Grade Pay of Rs.4200/- to Postmaster Grade I and G.P Rs.4600/- to Postmaster Grade II and G.P Rs.4800 to Postmaster Grade III by the virtue of 7th Pay commission and by Cadre restructure.

              Analytical studies are  as follows.....

By the virtue of Cadre restructure

1. Cadre restructure order was released recently by the DTE and vide Para 'f"  norm based LSG posts Grade Pay is elevated to Rs.4200 from Rs.2800.
2. On same work - same pay concept, it is unavoidable to elevate the Postmaster cadre initial Grade Pay also to Rs. 4200 from Rs.2800 since those Postmaster cadre is carved out only from the norm based LSG posts.
3. If Postmaster cadre is elevated to HSG - II posts after cadre restructure then they have to manage the A class and LSG offices with stepped up Grade Pay
4. But after implementation of 7th CPC if Grade pay is stepped up to Rs.4200 meagar hike from Rs600 to Rs.900 only possible while fixing in the pay matrix even though Grade pay is hiked Rs 1400 (Rs.4200-Rs.2800)

Now come back to the virtue of 7th CPC

1. Department of Posts itself is already recommended the implementation cell  to upgrade the initial grade pay of Postmaster Cadre /LSG officials since they are having no other options, except  upgrading the Grade pay of the LSG/PM cadre because of the cadre restructure those posts are being elevated to HSG-II (G.P. Rs.4200/-)
2. If that is accepted and implemented then that would have been reflected in the awaiting new pay rules 2016. New pay rules are expected within 20.07.2016
3. If that is NOT accepted then vide Para 13 of PIB regarding cabinet approval of 7th CPC, this association will bring this parity issue strongly to the department of Posts. We never let this issue down in the same way department and GOI are also in no way to deny this upgradation.
4. Grade pay hike is recommended in the 7th CPC itself then we could get nearly Rs.3600 to 5000 pay hike (G.P Variation Rs.1400 *2.57) and Postmaster cadre would become a charm promotional post among the young Postal Assistants.

Overall, it is inevitable to elevate the Grade pay to Rs 4200/4600/4800 to Postmaster Grade I/II/III respectively. But the only question is by cadre restructure or by 7th CPC.
