How do you cool down a computer

Don't let overheating damage your computer. Computers are power hungry machines. A PC in high performance mode can consume 250-300 watts of power, the majority of which is eventually converted to heat — a room heater operates at 1000 watts.

This means that PCs are highly prone to overheating which can reduce the lifespan of computer components and lead to irreparable data loss. It's a big issue in India because of high natural temperatures.

To remedy the situation, you need to first be aware of it. There are several applications and gadgets available on line that allow you to read your computer's internal temperature —download one of them.

CPUThermometer: http://www.cputhermometer.com
Real Temp: http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp

Computer temperatures should ideally be around 40 degrees on start-up and 55 degrees during high performance.

How do you cool down a computer?

1 Keep it clean — dust is an insulator and causes heat to build up. It can also mess up the functioning of the CPU fan.

2 Position it properly. Make sure the inlet to the fan is open to a source of cool air.

3 If it gets too hot, turn off applications or just shut it down.

4 Advanced users can also try to under clock processors if heating becomes an issue.

Kids of widowed daughters to be included in CGHS

It’s a move that will go a long way in empowering widowed/separated daughters dependent on their parents. Last month, the ministry of health and family welfare decided to expand the ambit of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) to include dependent children of widowed/separated daughters as beneficiaries under the government’s comprehensive health scheme. Till now, serving central government employees, pensioners, current and former members of Parliament, serving and retired judges of Supreme Court and high court, freedom fighters, accredited journalists, former governor and former vice president of India could avail of CGHS benefits.
“The move has been initiated with the aim of empowering widowed and separated daughters who live with parents who are CGHS beneficiaries,” said a health ministry official.
Though the health ministry does not have an exact count of dependent children of widowed/ separated daughters of CGHS beneficiaries, senior officials said the move would benefit thousands of children.
“It’s a conservative estimate that the number would run into thousands,” said a ministry official.
Currently, there are nine lakh CGHS beneficiaries in India, of which six lakh are serving government employees.
Currently, the health ministry spends approximately R1,200 crore on CGHS. “The number of dependent children of widowed/separated daughters of CGHS beneficiaries runs into a few thousands. It won’t result in any massive hike in the CGHS budget,” said a senior ministry official.
The decision was taken following the recommendation of the 6th Central Pay Commission to expand the definition of “family” under CGHS.
“The health ministry has examined the matter and it has now been decided, with the approval of the competent authority, to expand the definition of family under CGHS to include minor children of widowed/separated daughters, who are dependent upon the CGHS beneficiary,” a ministry circular stated.
The upper age limit of the dependents for the purpose of being eligible for CGHS medical facilities will be 18 years. “They should normally be residing with the government servant/pensioner,” the circular added.
The Central Government Health Scheme was started in 1954 to provide comprehensive health care facilities to central government employees, pensioners and their family members residing in CGHS covered cities.
The medical facilities are provided through wellness centres, polyclinics under allopathic, ayurveda, yoga, unani and homeopathic system of medicines.

BIGGEST VICTORY IN ALL UNION STRIKE

The 24-hour country-wide strike called by major trade unions today to protest "anti-labour" policies of the government and rising prices evoked a mixed response with the banking and transport sector hit in some parts.

In West Bengal, there were fewer vehicles on the road but several schools and government offices remained open following the warning given by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that absence from duty will be treated as a break in service.
Director General of Police Naparajit Mukherjee said in Kolkata that the situation was normal in the districts. Some arrests have been made in certain places including Hasnabad and Madhyamgram for obstructing traffic, he said.

In the country's commercial capital, Mumbai, the strike had a partial impact with financial institutions getting affected.

Barring banking and insurance sector, which have a large presence of trade unions, normal life was largely unaffected in the metropolis with all essential services especially public transport functioning as usual.

"The shutdown in the banking and financial sector has been complete. The RBI's clearing houses are shut. So the private and foreign banks where we do not a have a presence, also get affected," General Secretary of All India Bank Employees Association, Vishwas Utagi claimed.

Services at both the city airports was smooth inspite of the strike call by 11 trade unions.

In Delhi, the strike had little impact though normal functioning of PSU banks were affected and a number of autos and taxi drivers kept their vehicles off the roads to take part in the protest.

Commuters complained that the frequency of the state-run buses were low. Several passengers were stranded in the morning at railway stations and bus terminals.

Normal life was hit in Kerala due to the strike with buses keeping off the roads and shops remaining shut. The strike also affected functioning of banks and offices as pro-Left unions in the state sector also joined the protest against the "neo-liberal economic and labour policies" pursued by the UPA Government at the Centre.

The Congress-led UDF Government in Kerala has enforced 'dies non' (no work-no pay) order against the strike in government offices.

Reports from across the state said in most places, the mobility of people was hit as the impact of the strike was near total in the transport sector with buses, taxis and auto rickshaws keeping off the road.

Transport and banking services were hit in Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana in the wake of the strike.

Reports pouring from various places in the region said buses on several routes remained off the road in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh even as officials were persuading employees not to join the strike.

With major bank unions observing the strike, financial transactions came to a halt in all branches of public sector banks in the two states.

However, banking services in private sector banks were not affected.

Labour leaders have claimed that the strike is going to be a historic event and a stern warning against "anti-labour policies" of the UPA Government.

The key demands of the unions include guarantee of labour rights, end to the contract labour system, bringing workers in the unorganised sector under the social security net and pension benefit for all workers.

Besides the Left unions like CITU and AITUC and HMS, the pro-Congress INTUC and pro-BJP BMS are also supporting the strike.

Could We stop the sent gmail? Solution is here

My dear friends.....

Gmail is one of the most useful e-mailer to all and in fact it is having so many useful tools also in it. Still we are not using the full privileges of these tools since we are not much aware of those tools usage. For example could we stop the gmail from delivering to the recipient? Answer is yes.
How to revert back the gmail after clicked the send button?
1. Please login to your gmail account
2. Click the settings option, located on the right top corner
3. Click labs in Settings menu
4. scroll down in the labs menu
5. There is a provision as Undo Send( If you could not found this undo send option then use ctrl+f to find the undo send option)
6. Now select enable in Undo Send option
7. After that at last click save changes. That’s all

Now whenever you click the send option after composed a mail there is one pop up will be appeared "your message has been send. Undo. View message"
By clicking undo in few seconds we could prevent the mail to deliver to the recipient. As a result we could prevent the wrongly composed Gmails and partially composed Gmails.

Union Labour Minister’s Appeal to Trade Unions Union Labour Minister’s Appeal to Trade Unions

Union Labour and Employment Minister Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has appealed to the major central trade Unions to desist from going on countrywide general strike on February 28,2012.The Minister has issued the following appeal here today:

‘ I am pained to learn that all major central trade unions have decided to observe a countrywide general strike on 28th february 2012 when the whole attention of the country is focussed on achieving high economic growth. It may be appreciated that the UPA Government has taken strong measures to contain price rise, as a result of which prices of commodities have decreased significantly in recent months. It is well-known that the interest of the common man is paramount for the UPA Government in all policy decisions, particularly relating to the weaker sections of society, farmers and working class. In pursuance to these avowed objectives the Ministry of Labour and employment has taken many radical steps to improve the lot of working class. Most of the issues relating to labour raised by the central trade unions have already been addressed to a substantial extent. However, i do assure all the central trade unions that i am always open to discussions on any of the issues relating to labour at any time and resolve the same amicably through consultations.

There is no denying the fact that the proposed strike will not only cause colossal economic loss to the country but also bring hardship and inconvenience to the common man.

In view of the above and in the interest of the country I would fervently appeal to all the central trade unions to desist from going on strike on 28th February 2012. “

                              = 60 X 30 X 30
                                      6000

                               = 54000     = 9 Kg.

For those whose are all initiating the things to form Separate association for PM Cadre

Could You Please Tell me anyone that the FTP employees were formed a Separate FTP association to meet their fundamental rights. But what happened to them?

          1. Trade Unions left the FTP officials welfare
    2. Trade Union fought against Fast Track promotion and Fast Track scheme is now abolished due to strong opposition of Trade Unions.
    3. Now Some of the PM Cadre officials are trying for the same to form a separate association. Then what will be happened? History will repeat Guys. Be aware.

Breaking of anything is easy. But the impact will be very costly.

So My dear friends....Be United. Form one more wing in NFPE/ FNPO like P3/R3/P4/Accounts wings. So circle wise please assemble all of our Cadre friends and negotiate about this. If trade unions are not willing to form Separate wing like P3/P4/R3/R4/Accounts then we could further make next steps after negotiate with all PM cadre officials

Nothing is impossible and Unity is strength.

Corporate employees likely to have 20% pay hike in 2012

Employees in India seem to have a reason to cheer despite the prevailing economic uncertainties, as they could get pay hikes of as much as 20 per cent this year, as per two different salary surveys released today.

As per the annual India Salary Increase Survey by global HR consultancy major Aon Hewitt, the employees at companies in India this year would get an average pay hike of 11.9 per cent -- the highest in the Asia-Pacific region. Another survey by job portal Naukri.com pegged the salary increases for this year even higher at up to 20 per cent.
Based on a survey of over 1,000 recruiters, the report noted that about 32 per cent respondents felt that hikes would be between 10-15 per cent. "... 31 per cent said increments will be within the range of 15-20 per cent," it noted. However, 15 per cent of recruiters said that the increments could be less than five per cent.
Naukri survey also found that the hiring trends would remain robust in the coming months and as much as 72 per cent of the employers are planning to hire new staff. Aon Hewitt also pegged the pay hikes at above 12 per cent for the junior and middle management level employees. Salaries for critical talent are projected to increase the most by 15.1 per cent this year, as India Inc is concentrating efforts on identifying top talent and rewarding them accordingly, Aon Hewitt said.
In terms of sectors, pharmaceutical space would the highest hike of 13.3 per cent, followed by engineering design/services projects at 13 per cent. However, the telecom and Financial Institutions are projected to see lowest salary increases for 2012 at 11 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively, thus pulling down the overall average to 11.9 per cent.
