Views,Demands and Grievances of all PostMasters

Submitted In Connection with 7^th CPC

1. The PostMaster Cadre Officials are shouldering with heavy work load listed with Innumerous types of duties with enormous sense of Responsiblities (Direct and Indirect).
2. It is requested to demand New Higher Pay Scales for Officials belonging to PostMaster Cadre in the forth coming 7^th CPC.
3. 10% Care Taker allowance, should be paid to all the Postmasters as per the Department of Posts guidelines.
4. Upto the 4^TH Central Pay Commission, the pay scale of an Inspector-Post and a LSG official was the same(1400-40-1600-50-2300-60-2600 ). But unfortunately at the time of introduction of new Pay Scales in 5^th CPC, the pay level of LSG official had been placed below to that of an Inspector-Post Official.

In what aspect a LSG/PostMaster(Grade I) cadre is inferior to an Inspector-Post cadre. How can we under estimate a LSG/PostMaster(Grade I) Official when compared to an IP.

This Anamoly from the 5^th CPC should be removed and Leaders of all Postal Trade Unions at all levels are requested to fight for restoration of same scale of pay to LSG/PostMaster(Grade I) and IP cadres at least in the ensuing 7^th CPC.

         5.There is no specific ruling/statement in PostMaster Cadre Recruitment  Rules,2010 for prohibition to appear for LDCE. Now all PM Grade Officials are very much frustrated and fatigued..(without having any Monetary benefit and with very rare promotional avenues in the cadre and also forbidden to appear for LDCE).

         Hence it is requested to do the needful to permit all  PostMaster  Cadre Officials to appear for LDCE( PS Group B etc) and thereby to protect the interest of entire PM Grade Officials and thereby rendering  Natural Justice.

6. Once separate cadre for PostMaster is created, then all Posts of Postmasters up to the cadre of Chief PostMaster (Class  A) should be filled up only from the PM Cadre Officials and  IP/ASP line Officials should never be allowed to work in PostMaster Posts.
