7th Pay Commission: Higher allowances to be delayed as committee gets extension till February 22

New Delhi, Dec 19: Central government employees will have to wait till February next year to get higher allowances under the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. The ‘Committee on Allowances’ has got extension till February 22, 2017 to give its report on higher allowances. The extension given to the ‘Committee on Allowances’ raises eyebrows because the panel in October said the report on higher allowances under the 7th Pay Commission recommendations is ready. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley then formed ‘Committee on Allowances’ for examination of the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission on allowances other than dearness allowance.

Restrictions on cash withdrawals may continue beyond December 30

HIGHLIGHTS

  • RBI, Currency printing presses have not been able to keep pace with demand of new notes.
  • Banks are not in a position to disburse even current limit of Rs 24,000 per week.
  • Finance Secretary had said withdrawal cap would be will be reviewed after December 30.
NEW DELHI: Restrictions on withdrawal of cash from banks and ATMs are likely to continue beyond December 30 as currency printing presses and RBI have not been able to keep pace with the demand of new currency notes.

Announcement of new Passport Rules

  • In order to streamline, liberalize and ease the process of issue of passport, the Ministry of External Affairs has taken a number of steps in the realm of passport policy which is expected to benefit the citizens of India applying for a passport. The details of these steps are given below:-

    PROOF OF DATE OF BIRTH
  • As per the extant statutory provisions of the Passport Rules, 1980, all the applicants born on or after 26/01/1989, in order to get a passport, had to, hitherto, mandatorily submit the Birth Certificate as the proof of Date of Birth (DOB). It has now been decided that all applicants of passports can submit any one of the following documents as the proof of DOB while submitting the passport application:

ALL INDIA ASSOCIATION OF POSTAL SUPERVISORS-CWC-MISSION DIRECTORATE-MISSION CONCERNED MINISTRY- WERE HELD AT NEW DELHI FROM 14TH TO 16TH DEC 2016!!!

Dear Postal Supervisors and Postmasters,

All India Association of Postal Supervisors(AIAPS)-CWC - 14th to 16th Dec 2016 held at New Delhi

CWC was held from 14 to 16 December 2016 at New Delhi. Eleven All India Association of Postal Supervisors delegates from U.P, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu have attended the CWC. 


          All India Vice President Smt.Savithri Venkateshan PM Grade III is preceded the CWC and our General secretary Shri.Manoj Bharadwaj APM have conducted the CWC in enthusiastic manner.

       All the attended delegates had briefly explained about the major 5 problems faced by the Postmaster cadre.

The following major problems faced by the Postmaster cadre were discussed in the CWC:

1. Higher stepped up Grade pay to PM 1/2/3/Sr.PM posts from the anomaly committee w.e.f 1.1.16.

2. Immediate implementation of Postmaster cadre restructure to enhance PM Grade 1/2/3/Sr.PM posts.

3. Immediate stopping of the Negative interpretation of PM cadre recruitment rules and allowing PM cadre officials to appear LDCE as like LSG officers.

4.Immediate amendment of PSS Group B recruitment rules to allot and enhancing PSS Group B posts to PM cadre.

5. All India PM Grade III seniority as per feeder grade seniority not as per the date of joining.

And the following remedial actions were also been discussed. 

    Till now, from the recognized forum none had represented our Postmaster cadre issues above things elaborately. So getting official meeting with the Postal directorate Administration and then to expedite the proceedings further meeting with honorable communication minister were also planned.

    As per the remedial actions derived by the AIAPS delegates, AIAPS team of 11 members had visited directorate on 15th December 2016.

      Since we are having the recognized association banner, got the formal appointment with top level administration Member (P) Shri.Ashok Kumar Dash and have discussed about the 5 major problems gist.

  For that meeting, from the administration side Member (P), ADG(establishment), ADG(SPB) have participated and from the recognized association AIAPS staff side all the delegates have participated in that meeting. 

       Detailed memorandum on the 5 major problems faced by the Postmaster cadre officials with the remedial prayers had been submitted by hand to the Honourable Member (P) 



     Member (P) have assured to our recognized association to give the solid reply within the fortnight time
