 To,
          The Honorable Chief Postmaster General,

Respected sir,

Subject: Requesting Fake note detector cum currency counting machines to all LSG/HSG-II/HSG-I and identified Postmaster Grade offices.
Reference: SB order number 12/2016 dated 08.11.2016

Vide above reference, post offices are directed to accept the withdrawn old 500/1000 notes to curb out the black money and fake currencies.

Every day in average Rs.35lakhs/50 lakhs/75 lakhs currencies are being received at LSG/HSG-II/HSG-I offices respectively. While accepting those currencies there is no fake note detector machine in almost all the offices, resulting officials are suffering like anything. Many of the post offices are reported by the Head post offices and banks as fake note received offices only after received the remittances by the head offices and banks. As a result unable to recover the amount from the public after working hours and officials are bonded to pay those amounts.
