NEW RD AGENTS PACKAGE SETUP

It is reported that while installing the software an error message


While installing RD Customer Package, an error 'Error 1334. The file 'GlobalControls_COMCT332OCX_f0.64768830_83DC_ 11D2_B95D_006097C4DE24' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error....' occurs.

This error message comes again  when we install Microsoft Access Run time is installed.

1.    Whether a retiring Government servant is entitled for leave encashment after retirement under the NPS?

      The benefit of encashment of leave salary is not a part of the retirement benefits admissible under Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972. It is payable in terms of CCS (Leave) Rules which will continue to be applicable to the government servants who join the government service on after 1-1-2004. Therefore, the benefit of encashment of leave salary payable to the governments/to their families on account of retirement/death will be admissible.

Krishnan, Secretary General, NFPE, met Senior officers of the Directorate today, DDG (P) informed that regarding 25% outside recruitment in Postmen cadre the DOP&T has given approval for removal of “25% outside quota recruitment”. The file has been sent to Law Ministry for clearance. It may take minimum two weeks to one month for getting approval from Law Ministry. After that revised recruitment rules will be notified and Postmen Examination for the year 2011 and 2012 will be held.

India Post's gold offer for Akshaya Tritiya

HYDERABAD, APRIL 16: 

India Post is offering 6 percent rebate on gold coins of various denominations this Akshaya Tritiya, according to the Chief Postmaster General, Andhra Pradesh Circle. Buying gold is an important aspect of the festival that is on April 24 this year. The festival offer will be available at designated post offices across Andhra Pradesh on gold coins of 0.5 g, 8 g, 10 g, 20 g and 50 g of 24 carat and 99.99 per cent purity, a press release said.

India Post, in association with the World Gold Council and Reliance Money Infrastructure Ltd, began selling gold coins made by Switzerland's Valcambi in 2008. At present, gold coins are available at more than 800 post offices across the country.

Postal Department Plans 1000 ATMs in six states

The Department of Post (DoP) is on a technology upgrade drive. The department plans to set up 1,000 automated teller machines (ATMs) across six states —Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu — as part of its ongoing modernisation drive, said Manjula Parasher, secretary, posts.

“We will start execution of our modern technology programme across six circles by the end of this year,” said Parasher. “This will help in people getting core banking facility etc. We plan to have 1,000 ATMs in a phased manner. The process for this will start by the year-end.”

SENIORITY YEAR OF AVAILABILITY - CLARIFICATION

Banks to work full day on Saturday

 

 

NEW DELHI: In view of three holidays this week, public sector banks have been directed to function full day on Saturday, April 7.

 

The Finance Ministry has asked all public sector banks to function full day this coming Saturday instead of working half-day, official sources said. Usually, banks are open for public dealings between 10 am and 1 pm on Saturdays.

 

Confirming the development, a senior official of Indian Bank said the Finance Ministry has issued a circular in this regard. Banks were closed for public dealing on Monday. They will remain closed on April 5 on account of Mahavir Jay anti and again on Good Friday day on April 6. In effect, banks are closed for public dealings for three days this week.

According to the official, lenders are taking adequate measures to ensure that cash withdrawals from ATMs are not hit during the holidays.

However, transaction through bank branches cannot take place in these two days, the official added.

There would not be much of activity on corporate side either as they are also likely to observe holidays, the official added.

Confusion over Bank Holiday on 5th April (Mahavir Jayanti)

There is a confusion whether it is a Bank holiday or not on 5th April,12 on account of "Mahavir Jayanti". Some newspapers and websites declared that 5th and 6th April, Banks will be closed for  "Mahavir Jayanti" and "Good Friday" and this news created lot of confusion to Bank employees and customers.

5th April is NOT a nationwide Bank Holiday. Bank branches in Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal will remain closed as a holiday on account of "Mahavir Jayanti".

In the rest of the country, the bank will operate normally.

It may be mentioned that 6th April, Good Friday is a nationwide holiday.
