Postmaster Grade I Examination 2014-2015

Dear Comrades,

The Postmaster Grade I Examination is to be held on 15.06.2014 . The Department Circular is posted for kind reference.

There is a good career prospect for the Cadre and in future all Post offices will be manned only by the Postmaster Cadre officials.

Separate Pay structure is also proposed to be placed with the 7th Pay commission with reference to the duties and higher responsibilities in the Job.

The Present Cadre review also aims to bring all Single and double handed Post offices to the Grade of 2800/- ie LSG wherein 1/3 of the offices will be identified for Postmaster Grade I and all Triple handed and LSG Post offices will be brought under 4200/- grade pay ie Present offices will be upgraded.

SB Order No. 5/2014 : Changes in Statutory Rules in the backdrop of implementation of CBS- regarding.

Vide Directorate SB order No. 5/2014 dated 24.03.2014 the following Changes in Statutory Rules in the backdrop of implementation of CBS.

1) Deposits and withdrawals can be done through any electronic mode in CBS Post Offices.

2) Inter Post Office transaction can be done between CBS Post Office.

3) ATM/Debit Cards can be issued to Savings Account holders having prescribed minimum balance on the day of issue of card which will be circulated separately of CBS post offices.

4) In case of deposit made in RD Account by cheque. Date of credit of cheque into Government Accounts shall be treated as date of deposit.

Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:
(a) the details of cases of family pension sanctioned, so far, under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) to the families of deceased Central Government employees;
(b) whether family pension at the rate of old pension scheme to these family members of deceased employees has been stopped after coming into force of the New Pension Scheme;
(c) if not, the fate of those who have been receiving family pension under NPS at the rate of old pension scheme;
(d) whether some of the deceased employees have left behind them only few thousands rupees as Contributory Pension Fund (CPF) with the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL); and
(e) if so, how Government would pay them family pension from their CPF?
