AIAPS had submitted the letter to give Sr. Postmaster Posts Adhoc promotion till finalizing All India PM Grade III combined Seniority.!!!

Subject: Request to give direction to the Postal circles to give Senior Postmaster promotion on Adhoc basis to the feeder cadre Postmaster Grade III officials till regular DPC conducted by the Postal Directorate – reg

Reference 1: Postmaster Grade I/II/III/Sr. Postmaster cadre recruitment rules Postal Directorate letter No.4-17/2008-SPB-II dated at Dak Bhawan the 22nd November 2010.
Reference 2: 1-5/2015-SPB-II dated at Dak Bhawan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi, the 11th July 2016
Reference 3: This association letter even no AIAPS/GS/GRADE-III/15-16 Dated at New Delhi          20th July 2016 for requesting to modify the all India Grade III combined seniority as per the feeder cadre merit list/gradation list and further reminder requests on 08th November 2016, 05th December 2016, and 07th February 2017.

1.           A Kind reference is invited to the above cited RRs and letters, Vide reference 1, even after 6 years from the creation of Postmaster cadre, not even a single DPC was conducted for the Senior Postmaster Posts promotion and Vide reference 2, even after 1 and half years from All India Grade III draft Seniority was not finalized by the Postal Directorate.

2.           For regular DPC conduction by finalizing the All India Grade III seniority this association had also requested several times vide Reference 3, but because of the prolonged delay most of the Postmaster Grade III senior most officials were started to retire from even their service without their due Sr. Postmaster promotions.

Please refer to SB order no. 15/2017 regarding mandatory of Savings Account for credit of maturity/interest.  In this regard  it is intimated that this SB order (no. 15/2017) will be implemented w.e.f. 15th December 2017 instead of 1st December 2017 due to some technical issues.  It is therefore requested that all post offices may be instructed accordingly.

Instructions to be followd during issue of ATM Card

CIF level Checks  
    Below issues at CIF will lead to non activation of cards:
Ø Last name column in CIF should not exceed 35 Characters
Ø Last Name column in CIF should not contain special and numeric characters
Ø Address line  at CIF level should not exceed 35 characters and special character s like (<, >, ?)
Ø Name at account level should be as mentioned in the CIF

 
       Wrong issuance of Instant Cards
       SOLs are dispatching Instant ATM card duly linked to the account by post which may lead to mis-appropriation as both PIN and card will be available in the same envelope.

Here after no more monopoly of Post office savings schemes!!!

Supreme Court to revisit its ruling on SC/ST quota in promotions

A five-judge Constitution bench will examine the limited issue as to whether the 2006 verdict delivered in M Nagaraj and other versus Union of India was required to be re-looked at or not.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to consider whether its 11-year-old judgement dealing with the issue of application of the ‘creamy layer’ for reservation to SC and ST categories in promotion in government jobs needs to be revisited.

The top court said that a five-judge Constitution bench will examine the limited issue as to whether the 2006 verdict delivered in M Nagaraj and other versus Union of India was required to be re-looked at or not.
