1. Board flight for Port blair from Chennai and it takes two and a half hour travel over the bay of Bengal .
Flight charges
Booked before 6 months - 7200/- to 8400/- ( to and fro)
Booked before 3 months - 8500/- to 9750/- ( to and fro)
Booked before 1 month - 12000/- to 14000/- ( to and fro)
2. Staying
Holiday Home for Central Government Employees ( CPWD) - 10 rooms ( double bed)
Rs 180 /- per day maximum 5 days ( online booking at Directorate of Estates)
Other lodging facilities at Port Blair
Room Rent varies from 500/- to 1250/- per day (normal non AC)
Room Rent varies from 1500/- to 2250/- per day ( 3 star with AC)
3. Local Travel
You can book for one day or 3 day or 5 day package tour with Andaman tourism centre at cheaper cost
Private tour operators cost around 3500/- to 4500/- per person for a 4 day trip around Andaman ( you can negotiate if you are going in a group trip )
4. Island travel
There are more than 50 islands but for tourist attraction you can travel to 3 or 4 islands depending on your tour and stay program
1. Have lock island (must vist ) 2 hours ship journey from main land cost 800/- to and fro for govt boats and 2500/- for private boat. ( you must reserve the trip well in advance at the Port blair reservation counter .. Ship starts at 06.00 am and returns on the same day around 18.30. hours.. you will get around 5 hours to tour Havelock islands.
2. Andaman trunk root is a forest highway connecting Port blair towards the north far end of the island . journey should commence at 04.30 hours early in the morning via the jarawa tribal forest route which opens at 06.00 am for tourist. ( package available at Portblair)

Train from and to Coimbatore – Chennai – AC 111 tier Rs 1440/-
Flight from and to Port blair – Chennai - economy class – 11500/-
Ship fair from and to Port Blair to Havelock – economy - 630/-
