Post Offices For Which 31.03.2014 Is Holiday

  1. Ensure that 31.03.2014 is available in the Holiday List initialized in Sanchay Post. If not, initialize the same before Day End of 29.03.2014.
  2. Perform Day Begin for 01.04.2014
  3. Download the Patch “SCS_April_SI.exe” from SDC site & run the exe.
  4. SI will be executed on 01.04.2014 as per the new rule in the SB order 05/2014 dated 24.03.2014.
  5. Correctness of SI entries posted may be ensured at your end.

Post Offices For Which 31.03.2014 Is Not Holiday
  1. SI entries will be executed on Day Begin of 31.03.2014 as per the usual procedure.
  2. Payment may be made as per the new rule in the SB order 05/2014 dated 24.03.2014.
  3. Note: In case of offices failing to follow the above said procedure(s), no support will be extended by SDC.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Payment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees - Revised Rates effective from 1.1.2014.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No.I-8/2013-E-II (B) dated 25th September, 2013 on the subject mentioned above and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to Central Government employees shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 90% to 100% with effect from January, 2014.

2. The provisions contained in paras 3, 4 and 5 of this Ministry’s O.M. No.1(3)/2008-E-11(B) dated 29th August, 2008 shall continue to be applicable while regulating Dearness Allowance under these orders.

3. The additional installment of Dearness Allowance payable under these orders shall be paid in cash to all Central Government employees.

4. The payment of arrears of Dearness Allowance shall not he made before the date of disbursement of salary of March. 2014.

5. These orders shall also apply to the civilian employees paid from the Defence Services Estimates and the expenditure will be chargeable to the relevant head of the Defence Services Estimates. In regard to Armed Forces personnel and Railway employees, separate orders will he issued by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Railways, respectively.

6. In so far as the employees working in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders are issued with the concurrence of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

CADRE RESTRUCTURING OF GROUP ‘C’ EMPLOYEES OF DEPARTMENT OF POSTS CADRE RESTRUCTURING – DEPARTMENT’S PROPOSALS

The Committee constituted by the Department on cadre restructuring of Group ‘C’ employees vide No. 25-04/2012-PE I dated 23rd Oct 2013 held its discussions on 04th Feb 2014 at 1500 hours & on 05th Feb 2014 at 1430 hours under the Chairmanship of Shri V. P. Singh, DDG (Personnel).

 The representatives of the Staff side informed that Postal Assistant cadre officials are getting promotions in promotional hierarchy to Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- (PB-1) in Lower Selection Grade at a time when they are already placed in the Grade Pays’ of Rs. 4200/- (PB-2) or Rs. 4600/- (PB-2) on award of financial upgradation(s) under MACPS. At this, the official side asked Staff side to furnish copies of the orders on above lines from few Circles to corroborate the above claim. The Committee recommends that before processing these recommendations, Establishment Division may obtain the same from Staff Side. After discussions, the following recommendations in respect to the cadre restructuring of Group ‘C’ employees were agreed to by the Department.
