1.    Whether a retiring Government servant is entitled for leave encashment after retirement under the NPS?

      The benefit of encashment of leave salary is not a part of the retirement benefits admissible under Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972. It is payable in terms of CCS (Leave) Rules which will continue to be applicable to the government servants who join the government service on after 1-1-2004. Therefore, the benefit of encashment of leave salary payable to the governments/to their families on account of retirement/death will be admissible.

How to Find the IP Address of the Sender in G mail

When you receive an email you receive the messages from the sender attached files etc. We dont even know from which place this mail has sent to us or even the IP address of sender. If we know the ip address we can track the IP address using some websites in the inter net. Krishnan, Secretary General, NFPE, met Senior officers of the Directorate today, DDG (P) informed that regarding 25% outside recruitment in Postmen cadre the DOP&T has given approval for removal of “25% outside quota recruitment”. The file has been sent to Law Ministry for clearance. It may take minimum two weeks to one month for getting approval from Law Ministry. After that revised recruitment rules will be notified and Postmen Examination for the year 2011 and 2012 will be held.

It was clarified by Postal Directorate vide letter no 44-1/2011-SPB II dated 12.04.2012 that the service rendered under RTP Scheme prior to regular appointment as P A / S A can not be counted for promotion, seniority and grant of MACP.

India Post's gold offer for Akshaya Tritiya

HYDERABAD, APRIL 16: 

India Post is offering 6 percent rebate on gold coins of various denominations this Akshaya Tritiya, according to the Chief Postmaster General, Andhra Pradesh Circle. Buying gold is an important aspect of the festival that is on April 24 this year. The festival offer will be available at designated post offices across Andhra Pradesh on gold coins of 0.5 g, 8 g, 10 g, 20 g and 50 g of 24 carat and 99.99 per cent purity, a press release said.

India Post, in association with the World Gold Council and Reliance Money Infrastructure Ltd, began selling gold coins made by Switzerland's Valcambi in 2008. At present, gold coins are available at more than 800 post offices across the country.

Postal Department Plans 1000 ATMs in six states

The Department of Post (DoP) is on a technology upgrade drive. The department plans to set up 1,000 automated teller machines (ATMs) across six states —Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu — as part of its ongoing modernisation drive, said Manjula Parasher, secretary, posts.

“We will start execution of our modern technology programme across six circles by the end of this year,” said Parasher. “This will help in people getting core banking facility etc. We plan to have 1,000 ATMs in a phased manner. The process for this will start by the year-end.”
