New Pension System – It’s No Pension Scheme
New Delhi:- Discontent is simmering among the government employees and teachers over the Contributory Pension Scheme also called the National Pension Scheme that was launched in 2003 by the then NDA government. The united Andhra Pradesh government and later the Telangana State governments have also adopted the scheme.
The existing employees in 2003 did not react much as it did not impact them. But, as the government recruitments continued after 2004, the ranks of government employees denied the defined benefit pension and brought under this contributory pension scheme started to swell. They are realising its ill-effects on them. There are about 1.15 lakh such employees in Telangana and another 1.56 lakh in Andhra Pradesh, who are affected by the New Pension Scheme.

One more denial of natural justice to the Postmaster Cadre officials - PM Cadre officials are not eligible to appear in PSS Group B exams
Dear Postmasters,
During 2010-2011 Many officials are already completed 5 years LSG service and then only opted Postmaster Cadre.
Unfortunately all the PM Cadre officials are barred once again to appear in PSS Group B exams.
1/3 of LSG/HSG II/HSG I general line posts only carved out for Postmaster Grade I/II/III respectively. Origin cadre is allowed but the newly created carved out cadre is barred is definitely a denial of natural justice.
IP cadre may opt postmaster hierarchy Sr.PM Posts. LSG can write the PSS Group B posts exams and they also can opt Postmaster Cadre hierarchy Sr.PM posts. But Postmaster cadre officials cannot be appeared for any exams is definitely denying equal opportunities.
We are not against to IP cadre officials or General Line Supervisors. They are also our brothers and sisters. But discriminating only PM Cadre is wounding the PM Cadre officials.
So Dear members, be united. This is the time to throw the colors we are wearing at present. We have to come under one roof to fight back for this natural injustice and denial of equal opportunities.
