HERE WE COULD STRIKE THE ANSWERS FOR THE FOLLOWING MULTIPLICATIONS, AND SQUARE NUMBER CALCULATIONS WITHIN 5 TO 10 SECONDS. ALL ARE HAVING SHORT CUT LOGICS :)

1. A) 51*51 = 2601 B) 71*71=5041 C) 31*31=961

Ex 51 * 51 
then first digit multiply 5*5=25
then first digit add 5+5=10 
last digit 1* 1=1 =25+(1) 0 1=2601

2. A)33*37=1221 B) 42*48=2016 C) 56*54=3024
ex 33*37
last digit multiply 3*7=21
first digit add one and multiply 3*4=12
answer 1221

3. A)95*95=9025 B) 75*75=5625 C) 95*95=9025

CABINET APPROVES 8% DEARNESS ALLOWANCE FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONERS..

The Union Cabinet today in its meeting, gave its approval to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to central government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2013  representing an increase of 8% over the existing rate of 72% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise. The increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 6th Central Pay Commission.

   Necessary order for increasing Dearness Allowance will be issued by Finance Ministry soon. The resultant arrears amount on account of the increased Dearness Allowance for the month of January , Febraury and March will be paid to central government employees by the respective Ministry/Department after the issuance of the order for granting dearness allowance by  Ministry of Finance .

Previously the Department filtered the aspirants on the basis of merit and allowed 1:10 ratio for the examination. Hence the previous pattern and type of exam and standard of examination was easy. But this year onwards the selection process was changed and heavy competition is there for selection of Postal Assistant. The Examiner will set tough standard / medium hard level to test candidate         grasp of basic concepts of principles, Knowledge, application level, ability to solve the complex problems.
