OFFICE MEMORANDUM

 Subject:- Rates of interest on advances and loans to Govt. employees, for construction/purchase of houses/flats.

 The undersigned is directed to enclose herewith a copy of Ministry of Finance, Deptt. of Expenditure's O.M. No. 5(3)-B(PD)/2012 dated the 3rd January 2013 intimating the rates of interest on advances and loans given to Government employees for construction/purchase of houses/flats during 2012-13 i.e. 1st April, 2012 to 31St March, 2013 and until further orders, for information and compliance.

Sr. PM Examination CAT Case (Chandigarh Bench)...update

OA No. 1328/HR/2011 was filed jointly by Punjab and Haryana Circle at Hon'ble CAT Bench at Chandigarhfor the following reliefs;

1. Quash the letter dated 3.10.2011 by which Limited Departmental Examination for Promotion to the cadre of Sr. Postmaster(Gazetted) has been ordered to be held on 31.12.2011 which is against the Department of Posts, Postal Supdts/Postmaster Group B Recruitment Rules, 1987 as amended from time to time as there is no vacant post in the quota prescribed under the rules as detailed in the preceding paras.

Call to increase Retirement age of Bank Employees to 65

The retirement age for bank employees should be increased to 65 for better utilisation of the services of seniors, said INTUC national president G. Sanjeeva Reddy.

Many officers were joining private financial institutions after their superannuation and extending quality services. The Public Sector Units were unable to make use of their services fully as they were retiring by 60, he opined.

Speaking after inaugurating the Eighth Biennial Conference of Union Bank Officers’ Congress of Andhra Pradesh here on Sunday, Mr. Reddy said the INTUC was opposed to the disinvestment plans and selling of shares to private companies from PSUs. He promised bankers of a discussion on their problems with the Centre.

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, who attended the conference, said banks would collapse if NPAs increased, and underlined the need for prompt payment of loans borrowed by bigwigs.

8% HIKE IN DA FOR CENTRAL GOVT STAFF

In a major development, the Union Cabinet on Friday approved 8% hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees and pensioners. This decision is likely to bring some relief to nearly 50 lakh central government employees trying to cope up with spiraling inflation and price hike.

The file 'NL_20121231.exe' should be copied to DBAnalyzer folder and executed after completion of day's transactions. 

This will update the negative list upto 31/12/2012 in Sanchay Post. (Corrections received upto 31/01/2013)

In addition to Negative List, updations relating to PINCODE details are also done in the database. Hence, execution of this patch will take longer than the usual updation time. 

System Administrators should ensure that the server is not switched off till successful execution of the patch. To confirm updation, use 'DBAnalyzer >> Database Discrepancies >> NSC >> Details of negative list updation' option.
