Department of Personnel and Training has issued an another clarifications on Right to Information Act (RTI) as in the form of FAQ. Nearly seventeen questions and answers are compiled with simple and effective information. We reproduced the contents of the FAQ and given below for your reference…

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) ON RTI (AS ON JANURARY 2012)

Q.1. What is Information?  
Information is any material in any form. It includes records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions,  advices, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts, reports, papers, samples, models, data 
material held in any electronic form. It also includes information relating to any private body which can be accessed by the public authority under any law for the time being in force.

Officials working in the posts of PO & RMS Accountant are eligible for Special Allowance even after grant of MACP upgradation - orders of Directorate


It was ordered by Postal Directorate vide O.M F.No 1-02/2011-PAP dated 31.08.2012 that both the unqualified and qualified officials posted against the posts of PO&RMS Accountants are entitled to necessary Special Allowance on their financial up gradation under MACP Scheme. The Special allowance shall however be discontinued on their functional promotion.
These orders will apply mutatis mutandis to the officials working in the posts ofCashiers /Treasurers also.

Posting of Husband and Wife at the Same Station.

Subject:- Posting of husband and wife at the same station.
   Reference is Invited to the clause 3.2 of Circular dated 05.01.2011 pertaining to transfer policy for Category I officers which provides that FCI would be guided by the exiting policy frame work of the Central Government on posting of husband and wife together as far as possible and administratively feasible. Similarly, Clause (11) of Section II of Circular dated 21.11.2002 and Clause 1(a) of Section-II of Circular dated 30.03.2012 pertaining to transfer policy for Category II, III and IV contains the provisions for posting both husband and wife at one station as far as possible to enable them to lead normal family life subject to administrative convenience and other terms and conditions.

ALL INDIA POSTMASTERS MEET TO BE HELD AT MUMBAI ON 1ST OCTOBER 2012


 ALL POSTMASTERS (POSTMASTER CADRE) IN INDIAPOST MUST BE VERY CLEAR NOW THAT THE POSTMASTER CADRE IS A SEPERATE CADRE IN THE RULES AS PER THE LETTER ISSUED BY THE DIRECTORATE IN WAKE OF THE CAT JUDGMENT AGAINST  THE  OA no 640/2011 filed by Shri Subrat Kumar Mahali before Hon'ble CAT, Cuttack Bench.
