Directorate vide memo No. A.34012/05/2013-DE dated 17/6/2013 has issued notification for holding Limited Departmental Competative Examination for the promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts 66.66% Departmental Quota for the year 2013 on 7/9/2013 and 8/9/2013.

PA/SA DIRECT RECRUITMENT RESULT 2013

It is informed that the circle wise final result of PA/SA direct recruitment exam will be announced during the period from 1st August to 30th September 2013. Valuation of exam papers already over and Hall permit for computer test will be issued shortly. It is proposed to have online computer test for the selected candidates. About 14 lakhs candidates appeared in the exam for PA for the vacancies around 5100.

As per schedule declared by Directorate, PA/ SA examination for the year 2013 have already been  started in phase manner in each circle. The following criteria are likely to be followed for selection of candidate.

Qualifying Marks :

Computer Test :

Department of Posts Direct recruitment PA/SA Examination paper Dtd 21-04-2013

First Phase Direct Recruitment PA/SA Examination 2013 will be held on 21/4/2013.

As notified by Postal Directorate Aptitude Test (Paper I) for Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu circles is scheduled on 21st April 2013. 

CMC has started to dispatch Admit Cards to all eligible candidates of these circle by ordinary post. In case candidate is not received the Admit Card by 11/4/2013, then he can download the same online from www.indiapost.gov.in using Direct Recruitment PA/SA Examination link from 12th April 2013 onwards. Candidate can also report discrepancy in Admit Card data from 12th April 2013 using the link GENERATE ADMIT CARD on the same web site.

CMC has issued some Admit Cards without PHOTOGRAPH of the candidate. All such candidates may visit the departmental website www.indiapost.gov.in to reconfirm their eligibility. It was noticed during the course of checking the application forms that, candidates failed to paste photographs on their application form. Due to non receipt of photographs along with applications forms, such applications are said to be cancelled and candidates are not allowed to appear in Aptitude Test (Paper I).

Sub:     Dispatch of Admit cards for PA/SA Recruitment examination.

This is regarding dispatch of 10.67 lac of admit Cards through ordinary post (with pre fixed Rs.5/- stamp) tendered by CMC Limited.

The said mails have been tested on machine (LSM) & found that the mails were not compatible  with machine. 

Due to acute shortage of manpower it is very difficult to make the sorting work of 10.67 lakh mail at AMPC/Delhi. Keeping in view the such huge & time bound mail, it has been decided to dispatch these all mail circle-wise to circle’s headquarters for further sorting, dispatch and delivery within circle.The breakup of the total mail with indication of total mail for each circle is enclosed for ready reference.

It is, therefore, requested to kindly make the proper arrangement of sorting, dispatch and delivery of admit card in your circle. These mails will be dispatched by the S.J. MBC to circle's headquarter indicating ‘SPL’bag on label for further necessary action.

Holding of Typewriting test for Promotion of MTS to the Grade of CIerk

Subject: Holding of Typewriting test for Promotion of MTS to the Grade of CIerk.
Reference : In continuation of HQ letter No.AN/XI/11101/1/2004 dated 20/11/04.

The clarifications on the above subject have been sought for by some of the Controllers’ offices, consequent upon change of other educational qualification in revised RR. The following points may be noted, while conducting a typewriting test on Computer.

1. The typewriting test is a qualifying test only at speed of not less than 35 words per minute in English correspond to 9000 KDPH and 30 words per minute correspond to 9000 KDPH in Hindi and average of 5 key depressions for each word on Computer. The test will consist of one paper on running matter of 10 minutes duration. The candidates may repeat the test passage if they finished it before the expiry of the test duration.

2. The typewriting speed of a candidate would be calculated after taking into account the mistakes committed by him/her in the typewriting test. In other words, deduction of words/Key depressions on account of typing mistakes would be made from the total words/ Key depressions typed by him/her in working out his/her qualifying speed of not less than 35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi.

3. Answers books of candidates, who do net complete the passage of 350 words / 1750 key depressions in English or 300 words/1500 key depressions in Hindi shall not be evaluated.

4. The typewriting will be conducted by the PCsDA/CsDA concerned and question (Passage) for the subject will be prepared locally by them.
